Or how to honor trainees that love food

The trainees from EDEKA Minden-Hannover qualifying for the Trainee Award through creativity, team spirit and engagement during a week-long competition. The up-and-coming employees of this grocery giant put themselves to work creating unusual ideas, in order to convince the EDEKA customers, the regional press and last-but-not-least, the jury of 20 members. The result was taster samples, presentations, info stands and customer specials, that are based on a specified theme. In the end, 1,500 trainees and their store managers (or independent retailers) came to the Metropolis Halls in Babelsberg for the awards ceremony of the Trainee Award 2009, with much show and entertainment, in order to befittingly celebrate their success.
